A Space Designed for Growth

We create an environment that supports the infant’s natural development. This includes things like:

  • Floor beds and open space for freedom of movement

  • Simple materials that engage the senses

  • Soft tones, natural textures, uncluttered order

  • Individualized cate that respects each child’s rhythm

Infants experience the world through touch, sound, sight, and connection. Our space invites curiosity while protecting their need for calm.

Building Early Independence

Even the youngest children are capable of meaningful engagement. We offer opportunities for:

  • Self-feeding

  • Early practical life

  • Gross motor exploration

  • Simple choices that build confidence

Independence begins gently, through trust and observation.

Nature for the Smallest Learners

Even our youngest children benefit from fresh air, natural light, and outdoor experiences. Babies may enjoy:

  • Stroller or backpack walks

  • Time on blankets outside

  • Observing leaves, light, sky, and big kids

  • Gentle sensory exploration

Nature becomes their first classroom and nourishes their development.

  • No, at this time we do require a monthly rate and set days although we can occasionally switch days or add make-up days as as numbers allow.

  • Typically our ratio is 1:6. It is never higher than 1:8.

  • All children under 5 are buckled into 5pt harnesses, under 2 are rear facing, and 5-8 year old's are in boosters or 5pt harnesses.

  • We do require children to be out 24 hrs if they have vomited, had diarrhea, or had a fever.

  • We follow redirection and positive reinforcement strategies. If we have extreme behaviors that escalate we will ask you to meet with us regarding strategies to manage the behavior. If the behavior is dangerous to staff, your child, or other children you will be asked to pick up your child immediately and a management plan will be put in place as well as a probationary period.

  • Weather permitting we spend at least 1.5-2hrs outside per day. Even on days of cold, snow or rain, we do go out for shorter periods as long as it is safe to do so and the children have appropriate gear. In the summer we spend up to 6 hrs outside, even taking our meals outdoors!

  • We follow a Montessori inspired curriculum with a forest/nature school component as well, especially in the spring, fall, and summer.
