A Day at Mount Haggin

At Mount Haggin Montessori, we value a montessori inspired approach to learning with a heavy emphasis on the outdoors. We have daily outdoor adventures, no matter the weather and believe children should be allowed to play and explore- especially outdoors.

A group of young children sitting on cushions in a circle on a colorful rug, listening to a woman reading a picture book in a classroom with large windows, shelves filled with educational materials, and a mural of trees on the wall.

Outside Life

At Mount Haggin Montessori Preschool, nature isn’t an “extra”. It’s woven into the rhythm of everyday, enriching each lesson & deepening the childs understanding of themselves, their envoirnment, and the world around them.

The mountains, the seasons, the backyard breeze are parterns in learning. We take our outdoors very serieously and at least twice a week venture out for fieldtrips.

Every Day Life

We honor the truth that every child grows at their own rhythm and we meet them exactly where they are at. Their interest, pace, and develpment stage guide the flow of their day. Our role is to observe with car, prepare the enviornment with intention and offer lessons at the perfect moment- when curiosity is alive and the mind is ready.

Individual Learning, Every Single Day- Each child recieves 1:1 daily learning time with a teacher focused on:

  • Phonetic Awareness

  • Letters & Early Literacy

  • Math & Number Sense

These lessons are tailored to the child’s exact level, offering challenge where they’re ready, support where needed, and space to progress with confidence.

On our Book Shelfs you’ll find:

  • Math Materials

  • Science Activities

  • Language Lessons

  • Art Invitations

  • Practical Life Work

These shelves are rotated based on our themes listed below.
